Tim and Lindsay's Winter Wedding

I'm really trying to get better at this blogging, but once again, it's been a very long time since my last entry!

Every now and then a wedding comes along that inspires me to write about it, blog about it, and share some special images, ending my blogging dry spell... Case in point- Tim and Lindsay's winter wedding! So. Much. Love. We are very happy for this beautiful couple! The bride was stunning in a winter wedding gown, finished off with a gorgeous wrap and cream mittens. The groom has one of the best smiles you'll ever see, and he is so in love with his bride, that it made our job of documenting their love story very easy. With such great families on both sides, and a fun, easy going wedding party, the day was perfect! The outdoor ceremony at Big Rock in the woods was a gorgeous setting, and Katie and her crew at the beautiful Wild Rose Barn in Ashland did a fantastic job of hosting the reception. Tim and Lindsay's Engagement Session

Lindsey and I were super pumped when this sweet couple decided to do their engagement session at Houghton Falls. A GORGEOUS location, a GORGEOUS couple, and a GORGEOUS fall day. It doesn't get much better than that! Tim and Lindsay are so in love, so comfortable together, and we are so happy for both of them. Another wedding we cannot wait to photograph! Eric and Becca's Engagement Session

There is something so special about this beautiful couple~ The way they look at each other, the happiness they radiate when they are together, the love between them. Lindsey and I had a great time photographing Eric and Becca for their engagement session! It was fun AND easy! They made it easy. When a couple is not only so much in love, but also very sweet on each other, it makes for some amazing images. Eric is such a gentleman with his bride to be. That's how it should be! Lindsey and I were looking forward to this wedding all season! The couple, so much in love, are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet, and their wedding was taking place in the great Northwoods at the beautiful Chippewa Retreat in Manitowish Waters in the most beautiful time of year~ fall! So right off the bat we were super stoked. The whole day was just incredible! Lovely family on both sides, great friends and one of the most fun wedding parties we've ever worked with. Greta and Paul

Every once in awhile, we photograph a wedding that is just so easy~ Easy to capture emotion, easy to get amazing images, easy to enjoy. Case in point, Greta and Paul. Easily one of our favorites! So much love! From Greta's son supporting Paul during the ceremony, to the emotional groom so in love with his bride, to the gorgeous Greta looking stunning in her gown; everything added up to a beautiful, and very heartfelt, wedding. Kari and Isaiah tie the knot

One of our FAVORITE brides, EVER!! And the groom is awesome too!! We've been fortunate enough to photograph these two and their sweet little girl Tulsi many times, so not only are they clients, they are also our friends. :) When they asked us to photograph their wedding as well, Lindsey and I were absolutely honored!! This lovely couple said "I DO" at a beautiful ceremony at Our Lady of the Lake in Ashland, officiated by both their Catholic Priest and Lutheran Minister. How cool is that? The fun reception was held at the Civic Center, and the bride's talented sister in law, Jamie, did a fabulous job decorating it as well and made an amazingly delicious cake to boot. What a party, and what a great day! Thanks again Kari and Isaiah! Your images are looking fantastic!!

What a stunning bride and handsome groom! This couple tied the knot in Bayfield at a beautiful outdoor ceremony down by the water, surrounded by their closest family and friends. We strolled around downtown Bayfield after the ceremony to get a few fun shots of the newlyweds, and then it was on to the reception at the lovely Pavillion. Welcome Patrick Joseph

Another long overdue blog entry! I am trying to do better at posting in my blog after each session, but time has escaped me once again and it has been too long since my last entry. I promise to get better at it. Thank God blogging is not my full time job. Photography is my job. :) I LOVE my job. Whether it be photographing a wedding or a one year old, I am very grateful that my profession brings me such happiness. Newborn sessions are so special to me, and I am honored to capture such beautiful, yet fleeting, moments of new little ones. They change so very fast! Case in point~ Mr. Patrick Joseph! Already two weeks old yesterday and growing like crazy! This handsome little fella just happens to be my nephew as well~ He did amazing for his first photo session, and big brother Brayden was a great helper too. I was able to get a bunch of super sweet images!!! Here's just a few sneak peeks~Thanks again PJ! Auntie loves you very much. XOXOX

Sweet Gavin!

This handsome mister was back to see us for a fun filled family session! We had a blast playing in the snow with him and his parents, and doing a few indoor studio shots with his Grandma, Grandpa and cute cousin too! We weren't able to get many smiles out of him, but he is still the cutest, and best dressed little stud! Look at that face! :) Sweet Gavin was in the hospital a few weeks back and was a very sick little boy, and we are SO HAPPY he is all better now! Thanks again Kayla and Austin! We are honored to photograph your little man again and be able to capture these moments for your family!

Welcome Evelyn Abigail!

So once again, my blog has fallen to the wayside, as I have been incredibly busy... Especially this time of year! But no excuses, I need to get better at keeping up with blogging! We have had SO MANY wonderful sessions that I have lots to blog about! And here is one of my all time favorite newborn sessions~ introducing Miss Evelyn Abigail! This beautiful girl is the daughter of two very special people, and the sister of one sweet, cute little guy! We are absolutely honored that we were asked to do her newborn session and we had such a wonderful time photographing her, and hanging out with her mama while we did! Thanks again Nancy and Travis! If ever there was a couple that is purrrrrfect for each other, these two are it~ The gorgeous bride grew up in Ashland, and I've known her and her friends for many years now. What a wonderful group of people they are! So when Alyssa asked us to photograph her wedding, I was thrilled! And then we met Patrick, and we knew that these two were meant to be from the start! From their love of cats to their sweet personalities, to their interests in life and love for their families. It was an absolute joy to capture the story of a couple so very much in love. What a wedding!!! I don't even have the words to describe how great this wedding was, so I'll let the images tell the story. Hanna and Mark, your images are AMAZING! Adrienne and Patrick get married!

Besides the fact that the bride from this beautiful wedding had the best entrance I have ever seen (she flew in; see photos below), and besides the fact that both the bride and groom are so very nice and have some of the nicest families, and besides the fact that Adrienne and Patrick are not only clients but friends, this wedding was one of our very favorites! From the location the the laid back feel, Lindsey and I really had a wonderful time photographing this fun event. Patrick and Adrienne, your love shows in your images and they are AMAZING! Hard for me to choose just a few for a sneak peek, so I might of went a little overboard. Thanks again you two!!

One thing is for sure - this girl is a rock star! Coming from a family of rock stars (cool parents and an awesome older brother), she was destined to be one herself! Sometimes you meet someone who captures your heart, who makes your whole soul happy, who makes your day better. And sometimes that person is just a little person, with a smile as bright as the sun. Meet Miss Vera! One of the happiest, bravest, beautiful spirited girl I have ever had the honor of photographing! The daughter of two of the nicest people you'll ever meet (I would know, I photographed their wedding day too :), Vera was only 3 days old when she had open heart surgery. What a wonderful miracle ~ Loved every moment of playing with her and her doggie during this fun session with her parents! Thanks again Mychal and Rebecca. You two are truly blessed with this little sweetheart!

Here we are already ~ the 4th of July has come and gone, and summer is flying by so very fast this year! I am really trying to keep up with blogging but alas, it's been awhile since my last entry...again! It has been a wonderful summer so far, and I've been having a ball photographing all of these incredible weddings! Especially this one in Bayfield at Le Chateau! Tom and Cindy joined not just themselves, but also their families (five gorgeous children between the two) the day they said "I do." Lindsey and Darren Lakewoods Wedding

Sooooo, I have not done the best job of keeping up with my blog.... But I actually have some what of a legitimate excuse, I had one of the busiest weeks ever! With three (yes three) weddings in one week, along with the opening of the farm to table restaurant at my sister's farm (which I highly recommend checking out), I was one busy chick! Without further ado, here is the first of three weddings, and it was such a wonderful way to kick off the season! Lindsey and Darren are two of the nicest people you'll meet, and we had an absolute blast photographing their gorgeous wedding at the beautiful Lakewoods Resort in Cable, Wisconsin! Sloane is 6 months!

Sometimes I am blown away at how very fast time goes by. Miss Sloane is a perfect example of that! It seems like she was just in for her newborn session and now here she is, back in for a 6 month session! Kennedy's first birthday cake smash

There is something so very sweet and fun about photographing a first birthday, cake smash session. I don't know if it is because the 1 year old is usually full of personality, or if it's because typically it is their first time "smashing" a cake, or because it's all about play (most of our sessions are). But cake smashes have become one of our favorite sessions to photograph! We especially love it when the one year old is someone we have been photographing since they were a tiny newborn, such as cute Miss Kennedy! Her brother is also one of our favorite little guys, and he came along to help eat any leftover cake as well. Thanks again Jamie, we look forward to another session with you and your wonderful family this summer!

Brooklynn is 6 months

My very first ever blog entry...Hooray!!!

If you know me, you know that I have been meaning to start a blog for my photo business for a verrrryyyy loooonnnggg time. And finally, without further ado, here it is!!! TaDa! :) My blog has officially begun! Hooray!!! I'm not going to lie, I'm not much of a writer. BUT I am very passionate about my photography, so that is what I will concentrate on! AND here is the real star of the first blog entry, beautiful Miss Brooklyn! We have had the privilege of photographing her parents' wedding, her newborn session, and her first Christmas mini! This time she was back to see us for her 6 month mini session and was just as sweet as ever. Seriously, those blue eyes are stunning. Here's just a few favs from her session!
